Trip to Musandam ( Oman )

Musandam Weather and the best time to visit

From Nov to Feb is the best time to visit as in summer the climate is extremely hot. Even in winter, you will not need a sweater during day time.

Musandam dhow cruise package details

Pick up by Volvo bus from Dubai/ Ajman between 7 to 7.30am.

It takes around 2.30 hours to reach the Oman border. Once Reached  visa and passport will be verified by Oman border security

Then will go towards the port & will board on the dhow cruise. The journey will start with soft drinks and fresh fruits.

Next stop is Telegraph Island. All the activities like banana boat ride, snorkelling, speedboat ride will be arranged there along with lunch.

On the way to return, they will show the limestone cave & you can do fishing on the cruise.

Musandam tour cost

Per head AED 180 to 250 (depends on the travel company). Even some of the travel agency giving a good deal in AED 120 or less. But definitely, the quality of the trip and arrangements depends on the cost. 

Cost varies with the season. In summer it is cheap but Musandam weather is too hot during the summer.

Cost includes visa, foods and all activities in the sea for the whole day.

Trip advice

If you are travelling with an infant/ toddler, you must carry baby foods, diapers as the whole day will be in the middle of the sea.

For my toddler, I carried baby food and there were unlimited fresh fruits all day so didn't have any problem.

Take an extra set of clothes as if get wet in the sea you can change. You need to cross the water while going to telegraph island.

Sunglasses must. Carry sunscreen lotion if allergic to sunlight
