Why you should not visit Puri? Puri Bhubaneswar Odisha

Yes, You read correctly!! You should not visit Puri. Because once you Visit Puri you will fall in love with the place for sure. This is why throughout the year Puri is overcrowded by the tourist. Even in scorching summer people visit here just for the love and emotion for the place. Bhubaneswar is one of the best cities in India and full of historical places with amazing Kalinga architecture. Puri is the most common and favourite tourist place in Odisha for the tourist. 

There are numerous Puri Bhubaneswar tour packages are available from different travel agents. You can take one or else you can plan accordingly.

Since childhood, I visited many times and covered all the Puri Bhubaneswar tourist places. It was my dad's favourite holiday destination. After our annual exam each year we used to go and stay in Puri hotel for almost 7 days.
Almost after 17 years this time, I visited Puri for 2 days and stayed very far from the usual crowd.

 

How to go to Puri?

 Puri is well connected with all the major cities by railway and by road also.







The nearest airport is Biju Patnaik international airport in Bhubaneswar. From the airport, Puri is just 58 to 60 km. Bhubaneswar to puri uber is available and Bhubaneswar to puri buses are most frequent. 

 We directly reached Bhubaneswar airport And stayed in Bhubaneswar for 2 days. From budget hotels to luxurious resort all kinds of hotels are available in Bhubaneswar. You can book online before going or after going also you can get easily. 

 The first day we went to Nandankanan zoological park. Entry ticket for adults Rs.50 per head and for 3 to 12 years Rs.10 per head. For foreigners Rs.100 per head.
Camera costs are separate. You need a minimum of 3 to 4 hours to see all the zoo and you go to Safari then at least 5 to 6 hours.

Next day we took a trip to the City of the temple - that's what Bhubaneswar is called. 

We also went to Daringbadi for 1 day from Bhubaneswar.
Once back from Daringbadi, we headed for Puri. 

On the way to Puri, we visited the famous Konark Sun temple. The 13th-century temple with amazing architecture.
The same day at lunchtime we reached Puri.

 

Hotels in Puri? We tried a different staying option in Puri

You will find a number of hotels near to the golden beach swargadwar but we tried something different this time. Previously whenever I went we stayed either in Puri hotel or Victoria club hotel or Hotel sonali or Hotel park but this time truly wanted to avoid the crowd.

We checked into our hotel Toshali sands, a completely different resort far from the usual crowd of Puri. They are having their own farming land. From morning 6 am to evening at 4pm they are providing a free shuttle to the beach. Anytime you can go and come back. The beach is not at all crowded and very clean. After 4 pm they don't allow to go to this beach because the road to the beach is through the forest.
From the resort morning and evening, the shuttle goes to the main Jagannath temple. From there if you want you can go to the main market, swargadwar, Golden beach. Evening 8.30 pm again the same shuttle pick up from the same place.
Food is costly in Toshali and lunch and dinner are not included. So you can eat out or also can bring it from outside.
Two nights we stayed in Toshali and enjoyed a peaceful time.
While returning they arranged a cab till the airport with extra cost.
